Karen Skauge has been a part of the Floor to Ceiling Carpet One team since 1983 and performs many roles for the company. Karen is the Flooring Claims Manager and manages the Hunter Douglas window covering studio. Karen also specializes in cabinetry design for all areas of the home. She particularly enjoys kitchen design because she is an avid cook herself. She takes great pride in making her client’s dreams a reality so they can enjoy their design for years to come. Karen graduated from Alexandria Technical College with degrees in Interior Design and Environmental Design. In her spare time, Karen enjoys reading, gardening, attending sporting events, weekends at the lake, and any time with her family and grandchildren. Karen and her husband make their home on Tulaby Lake. They have three married sons, five grandsons and three granddaughters.

Neil began his career at Floor to Ceiling Carpet One in 1984 and has been a strong presence ever since. With 25 years of experience in floor covering and cabinetry sales, he has developed a clientele based on referrals from past customers. He works with several builders and contractors such as J&L Construction and Cornerstone Specialties. Neil earned a Business Degree from Valley City State University. He enjoys hunting, vacationing with his wife, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. Neil is an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Johanna joined the team in 2008 while earning her degree in Interior Design. She has extensive experience in design and sales including space planning, finish selection, project management, and hand and computer drafting techniques. From small remodels to new construction, she has the innate ability to take your project from conception to completion while making it an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for all. Natasha has been with Floor to Ceiling Carpet One since August 2013. She was born and raised in West Fargo and attended Century College in White Bear Lake, MN, where she graduated with a degree in Interior Design. Natasha is a member of NDID (North Dakota Interior Designers). As an Interior Designer, Tasha works closely with customers designing their projects, selecting materials, and scheduling installation. In her free time, Natasha enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves the outdoors, especially being at the lake and watching sports.

Karen has been in the interior finish, cabinet, and countertop industry for over 25 years, and joined Floor to Ceiling Carpet One in 2014. She enjoys helping her clients find the “perfect” material for their projects. Karen especially loves designing kitchens specific to her client’s lifestyles and making the most out of every available space. Karen brings that same personalization to all projects she works on… from a simple flooring change out to cabinetry additions, basement remodels, and new construction. Karen, her husband Joe, and two teenagers, Joseph and Bella live in north Fargo. They have a busy home with the teens involved in football, hockey, and tennis, Joe playing softball and participating in Strongman competitions. Karen loves to laugh, find humor in the mundane, and most importantly always look for the positive in life.

Interior Designer
Traci VanBruggen joined the Floor to Ceiling Carpet One Design Studio in 2019. She graduated with honors from North Dakota State University, with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Business Administration. She has over 8 years of experience in the design field, from large commercial projects to small residential remodels. Her favorite part about being a designer is interacting with and educating clients while working through the design process. Incorporating each client’s individual tastes and specific needs is what being a designer is all about, and no project is ever the same! When she is not in the Studio or on a job site, Traci enjoys spending time with her family. She runs a busy household with triplet 1-year-old boys and a 3.5-year-old daughter.

John is a graduate of Dilworth High School and has been in the sales and customer service industry for 40 years. He has 20 years experience in the furniture industry and 20 years in flooring. His expertise is in multi-family housing and new construction, and works closely with several property management companies and contractors. In his free time, John likes to golf, deep sea fish, play billiards, travel, and in the summer spend time with his wife at the lake. John is also a die-hard Minnesota Vikings Fan.

Jason spent 9 months as an apprentice installing flooring before he ever began selling it. He has 6 years of sales experience in the flooring industry, 5 of which he was managing the store. Jason is passionate about getting the right product for each customer and believes each household has a different circumstance when it comes to flooring. Jason is married to the love of his life and they have two children, one girl, and one boy. They both enjoy traveling and have been to Italy, Greece, Ireland, and New York in the last 5 years.

Aubrey has a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from North Dakota State University. With thirteen years of experience in the kitchen design field, her enthusiasm for design, organizational skills, and attention to detail, Costello can visualize the entire project. Her ability lies in being able to listen to the client to discover what they want and need in their space and be able to make suggestions that go beyond mere functionality to bring the entire area into harmony with the rest of the home. Throughout the process of your project, Costello will guide you through all your options. Dalton started working at Floor to Ceiling in high school during the summers setting up displays and doing various other tasks around the store and later lead a crew laying floor protectant at the new Sanford hospital in Fargo. After that, he worked for the in-house tile crew for a few years helping schedule jobs and installing tile jobs in both residential and commercial builds. In the summer of 2019, he left to work in the food service industry and worked his way up from server/bartender to being a part of the management team and the lead trainer for the restaurant. After a few years away Dalton came back home to join the Floor to Ceiling family in March of 2022. Through his various experiences in life Dalton has learned to have a desire to always learn more and if you don’t know something you can always find someone who does. He believes the guest is the most important part of our business and has a true passion to roll out the red carpet for everyone who walks in the store and that communication is key. In his free time, he loves to cook for friends and family and spends most of his summers golfing or in his words “hunting and fishing for golf balls”. He loves to travel as much as he can and tries to find time every year to go see one of his favorite sports teams play whether it’s the Chicago Cubs, NDSU Bison, Miami Dolphins, or Boston Celtics.

Alex has been with Floor to Ceiling Carpet One since September of 2014. He has played many roles in the company starting out in our warehouse for five years, then moving into commercial estimating, now has moved into commercial sales. He was born and raised in West Fargo and has lived in the area his whole life. He assists general contractors, construction managers, architects and business owners with all of their acoustical ceiling and floorcovering needs. He enjoys learning new things about the industry and is excited about the opportunity to grow in commercial sales. When not working Alex enjoys smoking meats on the grill, riding his motorcycle, and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Commercial Estimator | Commercial Sales
Andrew began his career at Floor to Ceiling Carpet One starting in the warehouse as well as cabinetry installation. In October 2014 Andrew took on the task of commercial estimating where he prepares quantity takeoffs for flooring, ceilings, and tile while overseeing submittals and project management, all the while helping the sales staff with commercial projects as needed. In his free time, Andrew enjoys golf, softball, and broomball as well as his dog, Vin. Andrew is known for his love of NDSU, the Vikings, and spending time with his friends and family including his niece and nephews.

Interior Designer | Design Studio
Krystal began her career in 2015 at Floor to Ceiling Carpet One as an intern in the Cabinet Department. She has since graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from NDSU. Being in the Cabinet Department, Krystal focuses on cabinetry design within any room. Keeping in mind the aesthetics, functionality, and most of all, how the clients will be using the space. She enjoys all parts of the technical aspects of design, being able to provide detailed drawings to the client. Krystal is also able to provide 3D-rendered presentations to clients which allows them to see their space come to life. Every project, either big or small, is important to her. Krystal is a member of NDID (North Dakota Interior Designers) where she enjoys attending meetings and being on committees for various events. Krystal and her husband live in Minot, where she enjoys doing small projects around the house. The two of them appreciate being able to travel to new places around the world, delighting in various cultures.

Michaela joined the Design Studio team brought to you by Floor to Ceiling Carpet One in 2020 and focuses on assisting the Floor to Ceiling sales staff with the cabinet design. She enjoys the fine details of cabinetry and how each component works with others, making sure function is always the top priority in any design. Michaela graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor's degree in Marketing and a minor in PR & Advertising, but has always had a passion for interior design. She has worked in the design and sales industry since 2013. Michaela is also a member of North Dakota Interior Designers where she enjoys meeting others in the design community and continues to learn about all aspects of interior design. Megan is an Interior Designer at Design Studio 360. She is a University of Minnesota Duluth honors graduate with a BFA in Design and a minor in Fine Art. Bryan is a 1982 UND College of Business and Public Administration graduate with a major in Management. From 1982 to May 2007 Bryan was the Commercial Flooring and Acoustical Ceilings Division Manager at
Grand Forks Glass and Paint in Grand Forks, ND. He also was named Vice President in 2004 and President in 2005 of the Grand Forks Builders and Traders Association. In May 2007 Bryan became a partner at
Ceilings Inc./Valley Interiors of Fargo, ND as well as formed a joint venture with Grand Forks Glass and Paint with offices in Fargo and Grand Forks. Bryan joined Floor to Ceiling Carpet One in March of 2010 as the
Commercial Floorcovering and Acoustical Ceilings Division Manager. In January of 2022 Bryan was named President of Floor to Ceiling Carpet One. He oversees all the divisions including residential floorcovering,
commercial floorcovering, ceramic tile, acoustical ceilings, cabinets, and countertops. Bryan also enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as traveling, hunting, fishing, and time at the lake cabin.

Senior Interior Designer | Design Studio Manager
Jessica Sholl is an Interior Designer and has been with Floor to Ceiling Carpet One since 2011. She holds an accredited Bachelor of Science degree from NDSU in Interior Design accompanied by a minor in Business Administration. Jessica assists in managing the studio and offers over 8 years of experience in design, sales, and project management. She enjoys all aspects of the Interior Design field and provides design services for residential clientele in new construction and remodeling. Jessica specializes in cabinetry design and she has a passion for working on detailed projects with each client to create a space that is unique and functions for their needs. As an active member of the NDID (North Dakota Interior Designers) organization at the Professional Member level she adores staying involved, and networking and is currently serving on the executive board. Fargo is Jessica’s hometown where she resides currently with her husband Billy, and their Shih Tzu Maltese dog, Bella. Darryl has been with the Floor to Ceiling Carpet One organization since 1976. His current responsibilities include measures and overseeing installs. Quality Control Manager | Installation Specialist
Troy has been working with Floor to Ceiling for years, as a Subcontractor operating his own flooring installation company, specializing in carpet and hard surfaces. He brings almost 4 decades of experience, starting at the age of 12 years old. He joined our team in January 2022 as our Quality Control Manager/Installation Specialist. He recruits new talent and oversees the installers/crews and assists with sales staff with planning and executing projects as well as overcoming objectives that come up with new construction and remodel projects. Troy enjoys cars, camping, and spending time with his wife Cathy, kids; Justin, Paige, and Cassie as well as his 2 Grandkids, Ben, and Brooke. Troy also enjoys his 2 corgis.

Residential Tile Manager
Jamie has been working in the residential remodeling and building industry for 20 years. He ran and owned his own tile and remodel business for a number of years; then knee injuries led him to Floor to Ceiling Carpet One. Jamie’s priority has always been the customer and he enjoys making peoples’ homes what they dream of, and a place where they love to be. Jamie lives in north Fargo with his wife, 3 children, and 2 bird dogs – all of who keep their family very busy. He enjoys getting together with friends and trying new local breweries, watching Bison Football, hanging out at their camper at the lake, or going to an occasional Redhawks game. Jamie is an avid outdoorsman who loves bow hunting, fishing, and pheasant hunting.

Originally born and raised in California, Howard Coleman moved to North Dakota in 2007 and began his career at Floor to Ceiling Carpet One in 2014. Howard oversees the entire warehouse staff and warehousing operations. Howard and his team ensure inventory is correct, product deliveries run smoothly, and installers have what they need to do their projects correctly and efficiently. Howard’s genuine smile and laughter fills the warehouse on a daily basis, something our staff is grateful for! Hello, My name is Matt Hruby. I’m the current Sales Manager at Floor to Ceiling Carpet One. I’m a North Dakota native growing up in Wahpeton, attending the University of North Dakota, and now currently residing in West Fargo. Before joining the Floor to Ceiling Carpet One team, I was the Territory Sales and Branch Manager for a sound-absorbing, acoustical product distributor for 9 years and a Contractor/Commercial Sales Representative for 4 years. I strive to maintain a great experience for our customers from start to finish on each project. In my free time, I enjoy biking, hiking, golfing, and playing with my son and wife or our two dogs outdoors while the warm weather is here.

Marcus has 30+ years of experience in the flooring industry and has been with Floor to Ceiling Carpet One since 2001. Marcus semi-retired as President of the company in 2018 and still works with the company in Marketing. He sits on the Board of Directors and also assists in developing areas of community involvement. Kayla Aanenson is a native of Minnesota/North Dakota but recently relocated back to Fargo after living in Raleigh, NC for the past 8 years. Barb began working at Floor to Ceiling Carpet One in 1984. She started out working in accounts receivable and payable and eventually settled into her current position in Accounts Payable, working directly with suppliers and subcontractors. Barb grew up on a farm in the Drayton/Grafton area and graduated from Drayton High School in 1982. She moved to Fargo to attend the Interstate Business College. After graduating she applied for her first full-time job, which happened to be at Floor to Ceiling Carpet One, and has been here ever since. Barb enjoys the people she works with and feels blessed to be a part of our team. Barb lives in Fargo with her two cats, Jazzy and Grover. In her free time, she enjoys country dancing, going for walks, and spending time with family and friends.

Emily joined the Floor to Ceiling Carpet One team in May 2016 in our Purchasing department. She graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with a degree in French and minors in Biology and Psychology. She enjoys her job in Purchasing because she gets to collaborate with everyone in the various departments. Emily is definitely a people person who enjoys helping others. Currently, she is looking forward to marrying her fiancé Forest in October 2018. She enjoys spending time at home with her fiancé and their big fluffy cat, Toulouse. Emily also loves spending time with her family and friends and going to the lake in the summer.

Joe joined our Commercial Flooring & Acoustical Ceiling Sales team after moving back from New Hampshire to his home state of Minnisota in 2020. He has spent most of his career int he finance and banking industry which has instilled a passion for helping people by tailoring solutions specific to their wants and needs. He is a D.I.Y'er and fully renovated his home in New England and has now taken on the task again here. Joe lives in Dilworth with his fiance, Aimee, her son, 2 dogs and their cat. When he isn't busy working on his home he enjoys fantasy sports, snowboarding, golf and riding his motorcycle.
